Who is behind EMOH Pay?
EMOH Pay is made by EMOH PAY INC., a Canadian company that builds and runs the EMOH Pay budgeting app on iPhone, Android and the web. Its in-house team covers product and engineering, security and privacy, editorial content and customer support, and every public guide is written and reviewed under published editorial guidelines.
The EMOH Pay team works for EMOH PAY INC., the Canadian company that designs, builds and operates EMOH Pay. We make one product: a budgeting app that is free to start on iPhone, Android and the web at emohpay.com, with everything kept in sync across devices.

Who makes EMOH Pay? The roles on the team
Who makes EMOH Pay comes down to four groups that work closely together. Each has a defined job, and none of them works in isolation from the others.

How the product team builds EMOH Pay
The product team decides what to build by listening to the people who use the app. Requests from support, reviews and in-app feedback are grouped into themes, then weighed against one test: does this help someone understand or control their money with less effort?
Every release has to clear the bar in our quality standard. That covers accuracy of money calculations across 148 currencies, sync integrity between phone and web, and security checks before anything ships.
- Canadian first. GST/HST tracking and Canadian bank sync on EMOH Pro reflect where the company is based.
- Free means free. Expense tracking, budgets, net worth, savings goals and bill tracking are part of the free plan.
- Honest upgrades. EMOH Pro costs $4.99 a month and adds automatic bank sync via Plaid and advanced AI. Prompts to upgrade are kept polite and infrequent.
How the security and privacy role works
Security and privacy sit with a dedicated role rather than being an afterthought for whoever is free that week. That role reviews new features that touch personal data, checks dependencies and authentication, and makes sure bank access stays read-only.
The rules it enforces are simple to state. Data is encrypted with AES-256. Information is never sold. Handling follows Canada's PIPEDA privacy law. Bank connections for Canadian banks run through Plaid on EMOH Pro and cannot move money. More detail is on the security page.

Who writes the guides and calculators on this site?
Guides and calculator pages are written by the EMOH Pay Editorial Team and checked by a second team member before they go live. The editorial role is responsible for accuracy, clarity and keeping figures up to date. Content is a resource first; product mentions are limited to places where the app genuinely helps.
The team is not a group of licensed financial advisers, and nothing on the site is personal financial, tax or legal advice. When a topic depends on your situation, pages say so and point to the official source, such as the Canada Revenue Agency.
- A writer drafts the page from official sources such as the CRA, Statistics Canada, CMHC and the Bank of Canada.
- A second team member checks every figure, date and link against its source.
- Product claims are checked against what the app actually does today.
- The page is published with an updated date, then reviewed again when rules or rates change.
